Michael Jordan - Basketball Player’s Blindfolded Free Throw Story Teaches MLMers to Envision Winning
Wednesday, December 30, 2009Michael Jordan, basketball dunk and free throw champion, says that, “Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen.” In the 1997 championship games, when Bill Bartmann was in negotiations for purchasing the Chicago Bulls for $200 million, Jordan put his career on the line with his eyes closed. We can learn a lot about how to accomplish success from a story that Bill Bartmann told at a recent business training.
Michael and Bill were chatting on the bench before the second game of the 1997 championship between the Chicago Bulls and the Seattle Supersonics. Bill told Michael about a book he was writing. Bill said that one of the topics was going to be on seeing the future, and an envisioning success before it happens. Michael quickly responded, “Oh, I get it.”
Bill told him that he couldn’t get it, because he hadn’t told him anything yet. But Michael emphatically replied that, “I know exactly what you are going to say. I practice and shoot free throws in my mind. I can envision the results before I do it. I do this so much, so often, that I can do it blindfolded.”
Envision It
He then proceeded to walk to Bill Bartmann out onto the court just before the game. Bill was in his street shoes, and later commented, “But when you buy a team for $200 million, they will let you walk out there with street shoes.”
Michael walked him over to the free throw line and stood facing towards the basket. Bill Bartmann stood in front of him and Michael Jordan said, “Watch my eyes.”
He closed his eyes, took the basketball, dribbled it, and caught it. He closed his eyes, bent his knees, tucked his elbow, shot, and followed through. Bill watched his eyes all the while. They were closed, and behind him Bill heard a swoosh.
“That is really cool, Michael. Really amazing,” exclaimed and incredulous Bill.
Michael Jordan laughed and said “See, I envision it before it happens.”
In the last two minutes of the championship game, the Bulls were down by four points. Two minutes to go, down by four. Michael got fouled. He walked up to the free throw line, looked over to where Bill Bartmann was sitting courtside, and winked. Bill got scared. He knew what Michael Jordan was going to do. There was not another person in the stadium that knew what Jordan was about to do, but Bill did. He just knew that Michael was going to shoot a free throw with his eyes closed.
He did. They won.
What lesson does Michael teach us by his example? That it doesn’t matter who we are, what we do, where we are, or what we want to accomplish. We can practice success in out head! If we will envision MLM techniques and results, and practice enough, we will not be afraid to be in front of anybody. We will be able to give any presentation, perform any task, call any person, and win in any business activity. Practice seeing the results you want in your MLM career, and those results will come. “Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen,” even with their eyes closed.
Michael Jordan could envision what he wanted to happen. If you would like to see how you can expand your business by leaps and bounds, and “make things happen” by generating massive traffic to your opportunity, visit MLM Success at Tamlynn.com now.

Exercise With the Earth in Mind
With the New Year nearly here we all start thinking about what changes we want to make. Fresh on your mind is probably all the delicious treats you were eating over the holidays! Next stop, an exercising New Year’s resolution. But, it is hard to exercise. There is that stupid scale, the food points, and those crazy machines. Nevertheless, you look around and everyone seems to be doing it these days. How do those people who work out all the time do it? After a while, you just get bored or lose hope. The number one way is to get in a healthy habit; find the exercise and diet plan that works for you. It’s even better if you can work some healthy habits for the earth into your workout plan too. It’s not as hard as television makes it out to be. Don’t think of it as just something to do to look good for the summer but something that can improve your life! Healthy habits create a longer life; and we all want that, right?
Get Out: if you cannot afford a gym membership, it may seem like you have limited options for staying fit. The gyms haven’t taken up all of the space in the world. Exercising outside is still a great option. When you’re working inside it takes a lot of electricity to break a sweat. But when you’re working out in the outdoors the only manpower is you. You build up your cardio a lot faster and can train to go longer a lot easier. Don’t like running? That’s ok. Try walking at first and gradually go from walking to jogging to running. Is there a park in your area? Sounds like a great place to do lunges. When you’re going to work park the car half a mile or a mile away and get a quick 15-minute workout at the start of your day. When riding the bus get off a stop or two early and walk the rest of the way.
Trying New Things: You think you can’t stick to an exercise plan? It’s all in your head. You need to connect your body with your mind and put them both into a positive place that says “Yes I Can!” Try Pilates. Sounds like something weak and girly doesn’t it? It’s far from that. Do you have an aching back or not-so-strong core? Those are the focuses of Pilates. If you want an exercise that not only works out different parts of your body but also has you, walking away feeling rejuvenated than Yoga is calling your name. Through poses inspired by the animals of the earth, it unites the body with the spirit. There is no one way to do yoga but thousands! Both of these exercise forms focus on the mind connecting with the body. Many people around the world consider these to not just be forms of exercise but a discipline, so it’s great for people who want to find an exercise plan to stick to. If you feel like you’re likely to quit after a short time find an exercise buddy or join a class. If you don’t live in a city, it might take a little research to find a licensed trainer or a trainer certified DVD in your area but it will be well worth the search.
Pump Some Iron: You don’t like exercising but feel really bad about the environment using the big machines? There are other ways to exercise at home or in the gym. Pump some iron instead of using the machine; you wouldn’t believe how many exercises you can do with a few weights, dumbbells, or kettle bells. Just make sure you’re exercising the right way, you don’t want to pull a muscle by trying these inexperienced on your own. There are items from your childhood that can help too. Remember the jump rope? You can skip around the house or around the block. It might also be a great idea to invest in self-powered machines instead of electrical. Spinning bikes and rowing machines that don’t run on electricity are great.
Dress for a Sweat: When thinking about which exercise clothes to buy think about fabrics like organic cotton, bamboo, hemp, or other natural fibers. Many major manufacturers are starting to make clothing from recycled fabrics; everything from sneakers to sweatbands. When you’ve worn out your exercise clothing, you don’t have to throw it away. Since 1993 Nike’s program Reuse-A-Shoe has collected sneakers to make basketball courts, playground floors, tennis courts, and running tracks for communities in need around the world. More than likely, there is a center or playground near you that is made from recycled sneakers. Companies like Patagonia want the clothes that you buy from them back so that they can be recycled and made into something else. Anything in your closet that is decent but you just don’t want to wear anymore should be sold at a consignment shop or given away to charities or friends. Donate your bad clothes to a local quilting club or to an animal shelter to make bedding for animals in need. You can see if the recycling center in your area recycles clothes or knows of a place where you can.

Converse All Star Leather Shoes - Reach For Perfection
Roll the word “leather” around for a while. The sound feels great, doesn’t it? Well, in the case of Converse All Star leather shoes, you get a lot more than just great sounding words. You get style, comfort, and durability. Each one alone is terrific. Together, they can’t be beat.
Take a look at the Converse All Star Leather Ox Trainers, for example, a long look. This model is a seamless blend of classic design, up-to-the-minute fashion statement, and ultra-fine footwear. Legendary basketball player Chuck Taylor, who lent his name to the style a century ago, would be proud.
Start your review from the bottom and work your way up. See that classic Converse tread pattern? Stable and stylish, no? Yes. This design has been virtually unchanged for decades. Even in this day of computer-aided design, the sheer perfection of this rubber sole shows there’s no substitute for experience. You can enjoy the style even when your feet are up on the computer desk.
Slide your eye up to the superb wrap that ties the sole to the leather upper. Classic Converse. Simple, elegant, and hip all at the same time. It’s more than a classic, though. It’s a non-slip style wonder. Now feel that leather upper. Feels good, no? No. Feels great. Works great, too. These shoes will look and feel as good years from now as they do the day you first slipped them on.
Then when you do slide into them you can feel that canvas lining that embraces your foot like a gentle sail on the high seas. Every part of your foot is braced and embraced. Is there any other shoe that pampers you that way?
Oh, but you prefer a high top. Excellent choice. The Converse All Star Soft Leather Hi tops offer all that same pampering but with an above-the-ankle design.
Drink in that coffee-colored exterior. Feel the warmth of the material. During the day, all night long, anywhere you go you can feel like your shoe is holding you.
Now make some moves. Turn right, shift left. Go forward, jump back. Stable, right? Right. Play some hoops or dance in the street, it’s all the same. You go where you want and nowhere else.
True, they’re also called “high top trainers”. But let’s face it, you don’t have to train for anything to love your Converse All Star Soft Leather shoes. Train for the next trip to the mall, or to nowhere at all. Train for a party. Train for life. The result is the same. Style, comfort, durability.
There’s a reason leather has been used for centuries to make shoes. There’s just no substitute. Manufacturing methods have advanced with every year and they’re so well developed that Converse can sell you a shoe that can last for decades. But the feel is always there.
The style is always there, too. Converse All Star leather shoes haven’t changed the basic design. There was no need. When you reach perfection, you just don’t mess with it.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Black Shoes - More Than a Choice of Color
Converse Chuck Taylor All Star black shoes are more than a choice of color. These classic and contemporary designs are a lifestyle selection, a way to be the same and different at the same time.
The Converse All Star Core Ox Trainers show the beginnings of that paradox. These classic Chuck Taylor style shoes are Converse and all Converse. The black fabric and white with black stripe wraps show that clearly. It just doesn’t get any purer than this. Yet, they’re made with today’s materials, today’s consumer in mind.
Looking for a cool variation on that classic look? Check out the Converse All Star Monochrome Ox Trainers. Black on black never looked so good. The soles have been dyed to match, giving you the ultimate in stealth appeal. Monochrome means “one color”, but it also sometimes means “dull”. Not this time. Not by a long shot.
Let kids get into the act with the Converse All Star Core Ox Trainers for kids. More than a size difference, these classic Converse shoes bring the younger set into the lifestyle. That lifestyle says “do it your way”. The kids version comes in an almost-monochrome variation. Only the soles are not black.
Or, let them slip into some Converse All Star Slip Strap Hi High Top Trainers. Yes, the classic high top style is there. But Converse has added a black strap with an orange highlight that doesn’t just look cool, it works cool. They’re called trainers but your kids will mostly be training themselves to look great.
Looking for a truly classic high top? The Converse All Star High Top Trainers are the ticket. Every element of the classic Chuck Taylor design has been preserved. The basketball legend from 1917 would easily recognize the white rubber wrap arounds. The black high tops with blue star logo is pure Chuck. The classic tread pattern on the rubber sole is there, too.
For a contemporary variation, go for the Converse All Star AC/DC High Top Trainers. Black fabric meets dark rubber for a near monochrome look that makes life colorful. The AC/DC logo on the back lets you celebrate your favorite heavy metal group while you play air guitar. Play hoops or play hooky to go to a concert.
Select the Converse All Star Monochrome Hi High Top Trainers and you’ll be training to take the prize for style in these urban myth makers. Become a legend in your own time and in your own way. That’s the Converse universe.
Get an even more up-to-the minute take on the classic Chuck Taylor design. Go for the Converse All Star Buffalo Plaid Hi High Tops. Plaid leather uppers give them style and durability as tough as their namesake. Ok, so no buffalo ever looked like this. So what? The style is one serious hunk of cow.
Henry Ford once said you could have any color Model T car you wanted, so long as it was black. Now Converse has shown his heirs how black can become multiple colors. Who could guess Converse All Star black shoes would result in a rainbow of styles?

Converse All Star Women’s Shoes - Go Girly All the Way!
Once upon a time, Converse All Star shoes were for men only. Luckily for women those days are long gone. The look, the feel, the sheer greatness of the Chuck Taylor style is for everyone, even if the full name is Charlene, rather than Charles. Check out the line of Converse All Star women shoes.
One look at the Converse All Star Light Ox model will prove that. These Converse shoes have the classic elements, for sure. But they’re as feminine as perfume. They’ll feel like a gentle aroma has enveloped your foot, too.
The Converse All Star Soft Leather takes that feeling a step further. Substituting leather for textile does more than just create a different color. It changes the statement. Soft, subtle, and supple, these Converse low tops are practically indestructible, yet manage to feel like warm air on your feet.
There’s a wonderful high top variation on that theme: the Converse All Star Soft Cuir Hi. “Cuir” is French for “leather” but there’s more than just a name change at work here. The high top creates a comfortable envelope for the ankle and a great style that is meant to be shown.
For a complete contrast in a high top, check out the Converse All Star Satin Flowers Hi. Fun, girly, and ‘painted’ in multiple colors, you still get that classic ‘basketball’ shoe you can use for any activity.
Go all girly with the Converse All Star Butterfly Hearts Hi high top shoe. You could be nine or ninety and these women Converse shoes would be right for you. The delicate purple butterfly motif is highlighted by the bright purple inner, a great contrast to the white canvas of the exterior.
Then run to look at the Converse All Star Century Graphic Hi high top trainers, a style that creates energy every time you wear them. Funky, even in black and white, the graphics are fun, varied, and an ideal way to flesh out your wardrobe. Make them all your own and draw a self-designed logo on the inner.
You don’t have to be Scottish to appreciate that design in plaid, either. Truth be told, though, the Converse All Star Grunge Plaid is about as far from grunge as a three piece suit. Funky, yes. Urban? You bet. But there’s nothing scruffy about these cool Converse shoes. It’s glam all the way.
And, coming back to the theme that what goes for guys goes for gals, we have the Converse All Star Gazer shoe. Want to be an astronomer or an astronaut? Excellent. Lace up a pair of these Converse All Stars in classic black, white, and red and you’ve taken your first step.
Prefer your outer space fantasy style instead? No problem. Slip on the Converse All Star Sci-Fi Words Ox and take off. You don’t have to be a galactic princess to wear these shoes, but you’ll feel like one when you do.
Yes, women have come a long way since Chuck Taylor endorsed the Converse shoe in 1917. Time to take the next evolutionary step in the new century. Time to lace up your Converse All Star women shoes.
